Our Firm
Our firm is one of the largest and most recognized in West Texas and includes approximately 40 personnel, with five partners. We serve clients in diverse and specialized industries including agribusiness, construction, distribution, employee benefit plans, healthcare, manufacturing, not-for-profit, oil and gas, retail, and more.
From 1979 through 1984 our firm was a practicing international office of KMG Main Hurdman, and in 1985 we became a practicing office of PwC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). Since 1993, our office has been independently owned by the local partners. In 2003, RBMS joined the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently-owned accounting and consulting firms.
As an independent member of the BDO Alliance USA, RBMS has access to the resources of BDO USA and other Alliance members, as well as the global BDO network, the fifth largest accounting and consulting network in the world. We believe the close working relationships we have developed with our clients are largely based on our characteristics as a local firm. However, we also recognize that today’s rapidly changing marketplace often requires access to domestic and international resources. Being an independent member of the BDO Alliance USA gives us a unique ability to provide our clients with domestic and multi-national resources, while retaining the flexibility of a local firm where we can be highly responsive to our clients’ needs.
To ensure the quality of our services, RBMS has registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and we maintain memberships in the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ), Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS), and Employee Benefit Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC) of AICPA. We also participate in the AICPA Peer Review Program.
